I did this mountain again with my wife on our honeymoon. We took a porter from Sorata, walked up to Laguna Glacier and set up a high camp on the beginning of the glacier. The porter had just sandals, so we decided to camp very low. You can not cross the glacier in the night, so we started quite late in the morning. It was a beautiful day, warm and without wind. There was a long bergschrund to cross, but no problem without rope. Higher up there is a steep part to climb. You need some experience in ice-climbing.
Take care to get to the glacier at daylight, otherwise you are forced to biwouack. The views to Lake Titicaca are incredible. For more information drop me an e-mail.
