Absolutely a great hike albeit a simple one! There's actually a treeline on this mtn. because trees near the summit were burnt down many years ago. It's a lot of large boulders and rocks now which make for fun hiking. Many trails and approaches to this small peak. The fall months are the best time to go because the air is cooler and the view of the foliage from the top is terrific! A large summit holds the throngs of people that climb up it every day. I highly recommend the Cliff Walk trail (easy but great views), the Red Spot Trail (a bit steeper with some nice views near treeline) and the Spellman Trail (steep towards the middle and a much longer hike). Have a good hike!
