We spent 2 nights at the Monchsjoch Hutte and climbed the Monch on July 5 in a whiteout and the Jungfrau on July 6 in brilliant sunshine. We climbed the Jungfrau by the normal route up to the Rottalsattel and then up the snow and rock ridge to the summit. The panoramic view from the summit was spectacular, with even the tip of the Matterhorn visible in the southern distance. The snow got quite soft on the descent, which made for some stumbling on the way down, but we were down to the Jungfraujoch station and then Grindelwald far below in time for a shower and beer before dinner. A great day!
