Beautiful mountain with two summits, situated near Banos Morales, a village to the east of Santiago de Chile. The two summits offer both moderate and difficult routes on rock and snow (with many nieves penitentes). Morado, as well as the peaks around, offer some of the best alpine climbing in this part of the Andes and are by far more challenging than nearby volcanoes like San Jose.
