Hayden Peak Trip Report (#16050)

A tough non-technical peak that requires scrambling and exposure to some hairy cliffs. There are no trails to the summit but it doesn't take long to rise above the treeline where one can spot a visual route. Take precautions in a few parts where you might have to cliff up 15 to 20 foot pitches. I would not recommend it in bad weather for first time climbers unless you have some exprience. Ropes wouldn't be a bad idea either because of some exposure. I climbed it in excellent weather and alone, so it's do-able.
