Monte Cristo lies at the head east fork of the Blanche Fork. It has many routes up it, including a great easy snow route from the Superior slide area, an easy walk-up from the town of Alta, and a scramble from Lake Blanche. Best snow conditions are present on the south face in May and early June. The main hiking trail is snow-free by the end of June.
