King Solomon Mtn

|Best months for climbing:||Jun, Jul, Aug, Sep|
Thanks to Steven Cross for adding this peak.
King Somoman Mtn is a false peak rising 280 feet from the saddle of Little Giant Peak, but looking at it it looks like a seperate mountain and hiking it feels like you hiked a peak. It can be done from Cunningham Gultch. There is an old mining trail that is not on many maps that heads up to a 12,000 foot basin. from there you can do Little Giant peak or take a right to the saddle and do King Solomon. The rocks are loose on top and you have to use your hands a little bit. The top is a long ridge thats about 2 feet wide. Both Little Giant and King Soloman can be seen from rd. 110 heading out of Silverton. The guest book on top of the mountain had about 10 enteries since 1979. Deffinatly worth while, but do little Giant while your at it.
