An extended ridge traverse [5.8, ice & snow possible, 14 pitches, first complete ascent 4/1/01] runs from NE buttress above Fern Lake, west to prominent tower above & south of Silver Lake, into notch, then up SW ridge to flat summit ridge. Actual summit is easy walk to NW. Fantastic views of June Lake area, White Mts., and Minarets.

    I was with a friend and he had to bail because the altitude started to make his tummy ache... anyway I just kept on truckin' and finally made it to the top... once there I just enjoyed the scenery......
