A total of 16 of us set out as a fundraising expedition for the Canadian Liver Foundation and 13 reached the summit on a perfectly clear, calm and warmish (zero Celcius) morning. Nobody experienced any symptoms of altitude sickness (all using Diamox) and we stayed on the top for half an hour taking photographs. A truely unforgetable experience, but we all agreed that it only has to be done once. We also kinda forgot that there was a three-hour descent and another three-hour walk to our overnight camp. Remember to save some energy for the climb down! One of our group had to be taken down on a stretcher.
Good luck to all who follow in our path! Contact me if you want more details.
