Yes the words pole, pole certainly should be taken to heart. The people who wore the LED headlamps also were hampered in the fact that they had no night vision. The summit was almost obscured by blowing snow which was a side effect of the cyclone which had hit Madagascar. Too bad as it would have really made it worthwhile to see the sunrise or at least have a good view of the surrounding country. If the weather is bad it would be better to start for the summit a little later and get up there in full daylight so you can at least see the countryside.
