4 Spaniards and 2 Swedish (ages 30 to 57) all to Gillman's Point and 4 on to Uhuru Peak, with Zara tours guide Allen. Allen did a great job by setting the adequate pace: SLOW. It's a personal competition, not against anybody else.
DO NOT take DIAMOX!
Better to see the sunrise at Gillman's since it's on the East side of the crater rim. The glide of the sun on the scree slopes of Kibo to the East, with Mawenzi in the background to your right is amazing. Then the way up to Uhuru around the rim in the daylight much more rewarding.
