We hiked from the Gasterntal up to thr Loetschenpass. The glacier was very nice. After the long walk (4 hours), we took a bath in one of the little alpine lakes - IT WAS COLD. We stayed in the Loetschenpasshuette for one night. At 6:30 in the morning we headed to the Hockenhorn. On the way up, we had to cross a lot of snow fields. Finally we reached the bottom of the Mountain. Then we climbed, hiked up in 15 min. At the top we had a nice view of the Bietschorn, Ferdenrothorn, Balmhorn and the other peaks down in the Wallis.
The Hockenhorn was very nice. I was surprised, on the way up, you can see over 5 different kind of rocks, looks like on the moon.
