We were in a group of 4. After a couple of days aclimatizing in the La Paz area, we went to the Condoriri group base camp at 4700 m, after 3 hours trkking where the Mini-Van Drop us at the Tuni aymara village, about 4300m.
The climb is a must! Leaved at 3 am from the Base Camp slogging up the moraines until reach the Tarija Glacier. Some crevasses open wide until reach Pico Tarija c.5200m, where you have to downclim an easy but delicate roten rock 15 m wall to start the SW Ridge, wich leads to the small summit of Alpamayo Chico.
Superb views of the Royal Range and the altiplano.
Little bit windy, blue sky above.
