My wife and I started the trip the end of April. It was cold but sunny. Day 6, we started from the high camp. Above the head wall, we slept in an ice cave. The wind made it impossible to use a tent. We stayed 3 days in the ice cave because of the storm. When the wind dropped we went without additional camp to the summit. It was a long trip. In the descending there was a second storm with wind speeds > 80 miles / hour. We made it back to the ice cave above the head wall. The day after we descended in 2 long days to the starting point. There we could immediately take a plane to Talkeetna. Talkeetna seemed it was heaven: lovely weather… spring, plenty of food.
