Peak is located to the South of Highland Lakes in Alpine County. It's north flank makes up the south shore of the lower lake. The best route for a summit approach is from the West. Remnants of a trial guide the way up The only other non technical route is to approach from the East, however, the whole climb will be on loose scree. Starting evelation from lake level is ~8600 feet for a total climb of ~1200 feet elevation gain. Total climb time is 2-3 hours to the summit. The summit block is made of small to moderate size boulders, and provides a panoramic view of the surrounding.
