The peak is ~3 mile drive East of Alpine Lake on Hwy 4. The road will become a two lane road once again and the peak is located to your left if driving East. There is no trail to the summit, so you pick the route. To reach the summit block some non technical climbing will be need to scramble up the conglomerant rock formation. A log awaits your signature, and the views are great for this day hike. Total evlevation is ~1500 feet, for a total round trip of ~4 miles. Water is scarce later in summer. Early summer is the best time to climb while the wildflowers are in bloom.
