Cockscomb

Ascent of the Cockscomb and Echo Ridge by Jon Walton, Jeremy Walton, Dave Gregory and Robert Walton:

It's the dramatic crest of granite spikes between the Unicorn and the Matthes Crest and is easily visible from highway 120. Depending upon the route chosen, it will require at least a hundred feet of roped climbing. It's a steep four mile hike from Tuolumne Meadow Campground.
