I am a climber with Summits of Hope - we climb mountains around the world to raise money for Children's hospital in Vancouver, BC Canada. We had a great climb with interesting weather (park closed for the first time in history!) more than 3 feet of snow fell in 24 hours! We got stuck at Plaza de Mules for five days but we had a great summit with 5 out of 11 summitting! Celebral emedma is real we lost alot of our team due to this so don't kidd yourself...
Expect to work hard and commit yourself to paying attention to your body. Food was alright but it was great to shower when we hiked out of the park.
Meet lots of friends from around the world. Plaza de Mules is like a mini Everest base camp!
