From the base camp Pirca de Polacos we went up to the Valle Superior. From here we climbed the steep slopes of gravel of La Ramada and reached the high camp on a small rock shelf at 4907 m where we spent the night. We started the ascent at 3:30 in the morning, first over steep fields of gravel, than to the pass, over the ridge and than not any longer so steep over gravel up to the summit, that we climbed at 11:30. Unfortunately clouds had come up just before we reached the summit, so that the view to the surrounding summits was refused. For the descent to the tent it took us in the steep fields of gravel merely one and half hours. We broke the camp and one hour later we continued the descent. We pitched the tent for the night at our depot at 4150 m in order to climb Alma Negra (6120). If you want more information please have a look on my homepage or send me an e-mail.
