Mount Peale Trip Report (#17733)

Fairly easy climb from LaSal Pass. Trail quickly fades in trees, and a steep ascent leads to obvious rock gully. No snow in the gully this year due to heat and mild winter. Appears most people leave the rocks partway up and opt for the steep tundra slope to the right (east). Summit ridge is gentle and rocky. Great views of Tukuhnikivatz and Mellenthin peaks nearby. Beautiful country and quite a contrast to the redrocks near Moab and Arches N.P.
