Mount Boucherie

Directions: If you are travelling south on highway 97 from Kelowna towards Westbank, turn left either at Friend's Pub onto Boucherie Road, or continue and turn left at the Petro-Canada gas station onto East Boundary Road.

There are many trailheads all around the mountain, and the hike takes about 45 minutes to an hour to the top, depending on the time of year. Great view of entire Westside, Westbank, Okanagan Lake and Kelowna.

Best times to climb are the summer months, but is also a nice challenge in winter with snow.

This time up the mountain was the most arduous yet. The three-hour climb usually takes me about 1.5 hours during the summer months. Next time I will reconsider bushwacking up 45 degree slopes with 1.
