A short 2.5 - 4 mile hike depending on the route taken and approximately a 2000 foot elevation gain. Makes it great day hike. Trails start off in a mixed forrest which slowly fades away to the rocky summit. The views have been rated the best in the entire Adirondack range with a panorama of the high peaks region and Lake Placis to the West and the Champlain Valley and Green Mountains of Vt to the East. On a clear day you can even see some of the Presidential range in New Hampshire.
