"Yatsugatake" in japanese means eight peaks the tallest being "Akadake". It is located right outside of Nagano very easy to get to. It is an actual climb kind of like one of the colorado fourteeners. Not like Fuji-san where you can just walk right up it. From the parking lot it takes about 8 hour to get to the peak.
