Mount Saint Helens Trip Report (#6820)

Conditions not optimal - steady rain from Climbers Bivouac changing to freezing rain about 5,000 ft. and ice pellets and snow towards the summit. Visibility at the top was only about 30 feet. Despite the conditions, I thoroughly enjoyed the hike (I owe thanks to Al Gore for inventing Gore Tex). I also checked out upper Ape Cave on my way back to Jack's - a worthwhile side trip for those looking for something a little different.
