Pico De Marcadau is a small conical peak on a slender section of the ridge dividing France from Spain in this area. However, it assumes a greater importance than its modest height would usually allow due to its isolated position from the large peaks that surround it. Short steep scree slopes on west and east lead to an easy angled north ridge which is easiest way to the summit. All southern approaches involve a degree of moderate scrambling.
