Thanks to michael bridge for adding this peak.
Montarenyo is a small peak pearched between the Mont Valier massif and the Certascan peak. Both southern (via the hrp varient and lake Mariola) and northern (via the mine of Anglade and col Crusous)involve long steep climbs with extensive views of the Aneto massif and the Pica d'Estats and Andorra in the distance. The route to the col is very prone to avalanche in the winter and spring but is frequently used as a ski randonee. In summer the main difficulty is the lack of water on the northern side and the intolerable flies on the lower pastures. But a nice peak if just for the solitude and a view of the Pyrenees few walkers bother to get.
NOTE: Trip reports were previously called "Summit Logs" - same feature, new name
