Petite Fourche

Moderate snow slope leads to easy scrambling with a short exposed traverse to the summit. Overshadowed by adjacent peaks but good views and reachable from Cabane du Trient or Refuge Albert Premier in 3-4 hours.

    Lovely weather. Climbed it from a bivi near the bottom of the W ridge - clear starry night, moon low over Aig Argentiere looked spectacular. Easy scramble up the rocks to the top, down a little ice...

    Fine weather and superb views but the peak is minor compared to neighbouring Grande Fourche and Aiguille du Tour.
