Rundle, East End of (EEOR) Trip Report (#18594)

This was a very enjoyable scramble. Took the right shoulder to the summit, and although some parts provided little margin for error, the scrambling was fun and straight forward (i.e. very step-like). Took the drainage close to the summit on the descent (with all of the loose material present, even on a warm day it is certainly not advisable for ascent; the right shoulder itself being less favourable for descent). With breaks -- on the talus slope and at the true summit -- the round trip time was about 4 hours.
As per usual, the views were excellent, but rapidly advancing inclement weather forced us to beat hastey descent to the trees.
We were also fortunate enough to see a few marmots.
