Good climb in snow conditions. Crampons and Ice axe required. 700m ascent (ish) from the refuge and can be done up and back in about 3 hours. If I were to do it again I would take a helmet...the rock is loose and with snow & ice prone to falling. Brilliant views of Cotopaxi & Carozon. If you do this climb in Nov then start at about 6am to avoid the mid day cloud cover and associated rain. Overall a good scrambly climb with great views...and a 5,200m peak in the bag!
