Ben Wyvis

The Ben Wyvis Car Park is about 150m ASL. The first part of the hike is not steep, along a good track by the river before it climbs more steeply up to the summit of An Cabar (946m). Loch Glascarnoch may be visible to the west. From the summit of An Cabar the hike continues along a fairly flat plateau area to the summit. This plateau can have some treacherous conditions in winter however, so beware.

Great fun, walking back to Dingwall directly through the heather takes around six hours and is tough going in places.
