To climb from Chile you have to ask permision to enter and to climb ( Electricity company, Military and DIFROL), you can rent pack horses on Maitenes, and after 2 or 3 days you reach(north)Base Camp at 4700 m just near the border, by the way there is a hot spring, be careful with Azufre Stream and with Mal Paso pass.

From Base Camp there is an easy climb until 6000 m, you can camp at 5600 or 6000, depends on acclimatization, be careful with altitude sickness, the last days you should start before 7 am, the way goes through a ridge 40, it can be covered with snow, then you reach 6400 aprox and from then an easy slope towards south until the summit, you should return before 3 p.m.

We did the round trip in 8 days
