The Costila Peak [2489m] situated in Bucegi Mountains, between the Cerb Valley and Alba Valley is considered as a largest climbing area from Romania. The largest wall in the country is Peretele Vaii Albe (the Wall of the White Valley) situated on the Northern face of Caraiman and rising above Busteni. To the South it is separated from Caraiman through the White Valley while at the North Valea Cerbului (The Valley of the Stag) divides it from the Morar (the Miller). Offering about 150 alpine routes, ranging in all difficulty grades, Costila represents the most favoured Romanian alpine destination.
