Well, starting 3:30 in the morning wasnt exactly my cup of tea, but I had already decided I was going to do this hike. So off we went all five of us. This by far is the toughest hike I have ever experience. I think I speek for everyone in my group when I say the hike back was the worst. I do have to say the views from Mt. Whitney are some of the most beautiful I have ever experience. Its definitly a once in a life time experience. I was a bit surprised by the amount of snow from the camp at 12,000 feet up a good portion of those switchbacks. For me hiking up and down the snow and ice was by far the scarriest. But I am here to attest that I made it. If I ever decide to climb this mountain again I would probably do it in 2 days rather than one. WE all did a great job hiking up and down Mt. Whitney in one day, and I hi five anyone who completes this beast. I could not have done this without my wonderful hiking partner roy, thank you Roy!! So my advise to you who want to do the one day trek take 2, and have fun. thats pretty much it from us. from Roy and JEnnie the awsome ones!!
