Climbed in one day with high school friend John in celebration of our 50th birthday. Brother Jack at age 53 also summited. The trail was in excellent condition and so the hiking was fairly easy (the trails back east are much more rugged). The only issues for us were the long distance (22 miles round trip), altitude, and the weather. It was beautiful when we summited but then the weather closed in and it began to snow and thunder. I was amazed that people continued to climb towards the summit despite the thunderstorms. Its best to be prepared and turn back if it starts storming. We made it but only because we started early and were off the summit by noon. Great trip and great scenery.
