Batura II, a/k/a Peak 31, also sometimes called Hunza Kunji, is a distinct peak within the "Batura Muztagh" or group or massif, and is believed to be unclimbed as of mid-2006, despite several attempts. It should not be confused with other peaks of the Batura Group, such as Batura I (East)(7795 metres, sometimes quoted as 7785 metres), nor with Batura I (West)(7794 metres, also quoted sometimes as 7784 metres); Batura I (East) is also sometimes called Hunza Kunji, adding to the confusion. Batura I (East) is also known as "Peak 32" or "Batura Sar". Together with Batura III (7729 metres) and Batura IV (7600 or 7594 metres), and other, lower peaks, Batura II forms part of what is sometimes called the "Batura Wall" because it is part of the same ridge line. The Batura Mutztagh is far less well-known than nearby Rakaposhi(7788 metres) because the Karakoram Highway (KKH) runs past Rakaposhi, whereas the Batura Muztagh is set back and to the North-West of Rakaposhi, and does not lie adjacent to the KKH. Batura I (East and West) are an integral part of the Batura Wall, whereas Batura II is more distinct as an independent peak, although still part of the same massif.
NOTE: Trip reports were previously called "Summit Logs" - same feature, new name
