Highest peak in the Spanish Peaks, a range bordered to the north by the Gallatin Valley (Bozeman), the west by the Madison Valley (Ennis), the south by Lone Mountain (Big Sky Ski Resort) and the east by the Gallatin Canyon (Highway 191). The summit is best reached via the Bear Basin trail and Summit Lake, followed by a scramble up the SW face of the mountain. 1-2 days is the average time for this hike.
