Did this with a good friend on the 9th August '07. We camped out the night before and left at 7.30 in the morning to avoid the crowds. Enjoyable ascent, although a bit of a slog. Although I wouldn't highly reccomend following the pony-track, the CMD arete is the way to go with this mountain to those who have a bit more experience!
Although it turned out to be a scorching, humid day, the ascent was enjoyable and cool, sioll being the morning. The summit was capped in cloud but rather cold, and on the way back down we witnessed a long snake of 100 or more people all coming up. Probably not the ideal way to descend, and not helped by the fact that Glen Nevis was swealtering under the sun by the time we got off!
Still, great day out and an excellent day weather-wise for a first ascent of this mountain.
