Took the tourist trail, lucky with weather, it was fine till the snowline, then into cloud. T shirts for 1st 3000 feet, then added fleece, finally as we reached the snow, added full winter kit! Hard going through the deep snow - glad I used a stick - but made it to the top and took the obligatory photos! A little disorientated coming down through the snow in cloud conditions, had to check bearings to locate path, then the long slog down again, with rain coming in for the last hour. Out 7 hours in total. Enjoyed a tasty meal and a welcome pint at the Ben Nevis Inn with lovely roaring fire! Well worth the effort - now I've completed Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis in the last year - but my calves are still aching 4 days later!
