Skyscraper Mountain is located in Mount Rainier National Park on the northern slope of Rainier. Skyscraper is an easy day hike which starts from a trail at the Sunrise Visitor Center and connects to the Wonderland Trail, then passes through Berkeley Park as the trail climbs to Skyscraper Pass. From the pass, it is an easy walk up to the summit along the south ridge on a climber's path. From the summit you have big views of the Emmons and Winthrop glaciers, Willis Wall, and distant views to Glacier Peak, Mount Stuart, and Mt. Aix as well as many more.
Edmond S. Meany (Mount Rainier, p. 320) wrote that the name came "...from its supposed resemblance to a modern style of architecture..."
