Did Sgurr nan Ceathreamhnan from Camban bothy on the 19 December 2007.
Left the bothy at 8:00 am, it was cold and clear, contoured round to the allt gleann gniomhaidh. Then a lung busting hike up to point 910, left some gear here then 35 minutes to the summit. Amazing views in all directions, pin sharp to horizon, sat here for 1 hour, reluctant to leave.
I got cramp just before picking my gear up, it made me realise i was a long way from anywhere. Reached the bothy at 3:30 pm.
An easy 12 km round trip from the bothy and 900 to 1000 metres of ascent. River could be tricky in spate and the ridge between the West top and main summit would be interesting under snow and ice.
Camban bothy is weatherproof, but one half of the upper floor has no floorboards and is unusable.
