Lasörling

Featured photo of Lasörling

The Lasörling is the highest peak in the Lasörlinggruppe (Lasörling range). It is located south of the Venedigergruppe near the Italian border and provides a great view on Austrias highest and fourth highest mountain (Gross Glockner and Grossvenediger respectively).

Two marked routes lead to the the summit. The route from the south might be steep but is relatively easy for people in a good condition. The climb from the north side is more exciting with a beatiful klettersteig (via ferrata).

Day tours are possible from the villages of Virgen and Pragraten but the peak also fits nicely into the route from the Lasörling Hütte to the Neue Reichenberger Hütte.

We did the route from the north from the Reichenbergerhuette, over the klettersteig to the summit and via the south route down to the Lasoerling huette. It was a really great tour!
