Thanks to theyogiclimber for adding this peak.
Nigel Peak is located on the boundary of Banff and Jasper National Parks. It is situated immediately north of Sunwapta Pass, which is the low saddle between Mount Athabasca and Nigel Peak. Travelers driving north along the world-famous Icefields Parkway cross Sunwapta Pass with these two mountains on either side. Nigel Peak is also easily visible to visitors to the Icefields Center at Columbia Icefield and from the Athabasca Glacier as it towers behind the Columbia Icefield Chalet. Nigel Peak is named for Nigel Vavasour who was a packer who accompanied Norman Collie and Hugh Stutfield to the area in the late 1800's.
