Cathedral Mountain is located in Yoho National Park. This picturesque mountain can be seen from Highway 1, and from many of the lakes and hiking trails in the popular Lake O'Hara area. Cathedral Mountain is situated east of Mount Stephen, south of the Kicking Horse River valley, and west of the Continental Divide. The name was given by a minister, James Outram, who also was the first to climb the mountain.
