Thanks to Ronald James for adding this peak.
Big Devil Peak is located in the northwest corner of North Cascades National Park's South Unit. Visible from the North Cascades Highway, this summit is the highest peak on Teebone Ridge which is a descriptive name for the shape of an isolated alpine ridge. While modest in height, local relief is great as the summit rises nearly 7000 feet from the bottom of the Skagit River Valley on the north side below. Relief is great on all sides with the Cascade River Valley on the south and the valley of Newhalem Creek to the east. A trip to Big Devil Peak offers views of the rugged Picket Range, Mt Triumph, Eldorado Peak, and distant views of Baker and Rainier. Rock is gneiss and schist.
