Thanks to Uwe Dengler for adding this peak.

The Hirzer or Punta Cervina (2781 m) is the highest peak of the Sarntal Alps. It is located in the center of the Sarntal Alps mountain range north of the Ifinger (Ivingo).

The Hirzer can be reached from Saltaus near Merano with the aid of a cable railway which goes up to 1980 m. From their one can walk up to the summit.

The Hirzer summit offers a nice panorama of the Oetztal Alps, the Texel group, the Stubai Alps and the Zillertal Alps until the Dolomites and the Ortler group.
