A triangle-formed bare and rocky alpine tract.Steep walls and slopes on the three sides of the triangle.The mountain is positioned exactly bedween Salzburg, Berchtesgaden and Bad Reichenhall. Highest point is Berchtesgadener Hochthron ( 1973 m, 6314 ft.)
From Berchtesgaden by car or bus to the village Maria Gern. Marked path to Stöhrhaus ( 1894 m,6061 ft), German Alpine Club, opened only in summer. From there 1/2 h on an rough path to the summit.
