Sonntagshorn ist the highest peak of the Chiemgauer Alps . It is a remarkable pyramid. The south slope isn't much
declined. Marked path from Heutal near Lofer , 3 h. All other routes are scrambling, long and exposed. The north side is are very remote wilderness. The orinigal name of the mountain isn't "Sunday", but "sunny roof".
From the top you have a magnificent view from Upper Bavaria until to the Central Alps and from the mountains of Wilder Kaiser until Salzkammergut.
