Kammerlinghorn

Kammerlinghorn is a chalk mountain in the undergroup " Hocheisgruppe" of Hochkalter group.( see there in peakware).Map :Official map of Bavaria, sheet : Berchtesgadener Alpen, 1 : 50 000. Steep walls to north and to south, a ridge direction East to Hocheisspitze ( scrambling) and a long, less declined ridge to west. One of the few tops of Hochkalter group to walk up without scrambling.

From Ramsau-Hintersee (2631 ft) by public bus service( June to September), by feet ( 1 1/2 h) or by mountain-bike to saddle Paß Hirschbichl (3765 ft.)Walk a few ft down eastward, then on path to Karlkogel and over a long ridge to the top. 4 h. Descent like ascent.

From March to May/ beginning June it´s also a fine ski-excursion.
