Fellhorn has to north very few declined slopes with wood and pastures. To south is a very steep and brittle slope. Caution : Some maps show a marked path from south through" Haßlerschlucht "and over " Hochgrieß" to the summit. This marked path doesn´t exist !

From Reit im Winkl( 2300 ft) or from the settlement Seegatterl on marked ways to hut Straubinger Haus, German Alpine Club, managed in summer, 3 h. From the hut on a marked path to the summit 20 minutes. Descent like ascent.

There is also an easy way from Erpfendorf/Tirol passing the west slope of Fellhorn to Straubinger Haus. 3 h

Started hike in Faistenoy, to Kazenwaldhaus, to Fellhornbahn Mittelstation, to summit. Snow was still firm enough to descend directly down ski piste.
