Toter Mann
Toter Mann is an isolated little mountain above Ramsau near Berchtesgaden. Though it is not very high, you have from the top an informative survey to the Berchtesgaden Alps. You can walk up from Ramsau-Hochschwarzeck ( 1 h), from Wimbachbrücke ( 2 h) or from Bischofswiesen ( 2-3 h, depending from start-point.)
The name -in English" dead man" - comes from a war action in 1809. Less above the top is the inn " Hirschkaser.
